Last night, I attended "Cocktails with the Stars" at Mickey's in West Hollywood as MARK SLADE made his first appearance there. He handed out free copies of THE DRIFTER (released last week) and DRIFTER 2: LIKE FATHER LIKE SON (which streets in three weeks). He was earnestly charming, talking about his baseball card collection and his dick size. Jason Sechrest was funny, as always, and treated him well, which was good, as it took a lot of effort to get him there. Mark was apprehensive about doing the show because he wasn't sure if Jason would try to make fun of him, but it was a nice interview.

At one point, Jason took questions from the audience, and someone asked Mark (decked out in a snazzy black "I (Heart) Jett Blakk" t-shirt) if he would ever consider escorting. Mark grinned and asked for a definition of "escorting."

Jason said, "Well, if you go by the David Forrest definition, it means to introduce two people with the intention of having one pay for the other's time to go to dinner or a show and not necessarily the promise of sex."

"And the other definition?" Mark asked.

Jason paused, then "Sex."

Everyone laughed, and Mark said, "Well, if someone made the right offer, sure."

I think I saw several guys pull out their wallets and start counting bills.

It was an enjoyable evening. My best friend Boomaster showed up and we chatted over some drinks. I left around nine, as I always do, because I park in a zone that turns "No Parking" at that time. Hope all the winners of the movies enjoy them!
