SHORT ENDS

In the film biz, when you wrap for the day and you have a significant amount of film left on the mag, you clip it off and keep it to use later. That's called a "short end" (although with more and more of the industry going digital, film may soon be a thing of the past).

So that's been what my life has been like, lately. Just a bin full of short ends. Bits and pieces.

NICK CAPRA called to say that he's doing "Cocktails with the Stars" at Mickey's on Sept. 14th and asked if I would bring some copies of NICK CAPRA DIRTY TALK to give away. Sure, no problem.

CHRIS DANO wanted to know if DRIFTER 2: LIKE FATHER LIKE SON had been released yet. Yes. Could he have a copy? Fine.

I'm working on a deal with a company to put downloadable versions of our films in kiosks that would appear in adult book stores. That's pending.

I'm waiting to hear from Canada about finalization on a broadcast contract.

There's been new interest in a mainstream movie I did 14 years ago that never got distribution. It's a gay drama that may finally be heading for dvd and cable.

JACOB SLADER called to say goodbye before he left for Japan.

TY HUDSON and I are working on a project together. He's dealing with investors.

I'm planning a trip to San Francisco next month. Looking forward to that.

The driver's side window mechanism on my car broke yesterday, and I have to take it to the service garage to get fixed.

The editing on STR8 OFF THE BASE 3 continues.

And finally, there's something very interesting happening in Chicago. More on that later.

That's about it for now. Lot's of interesting bits and pieces, but enough to keep me busy.
