The editing continues on HOW TO SEDUCE A STRAIGHT MAN. I'm halfway through the film, having finished the "Six Beers" scene with RC RYAN and ADAM FAUST today. It was a difficult cut. As you remember, that's the scene I got sick on and had ANTHONY DURAN direct for me. He did an admirable job, but when you see someone shoot in a style that's not your own, you can't help but point out the differences in how you would have shot the scene yourself. It will be interesting to hear what the reviewers say, as I've tried to cut the scene in a manner that's not too different from the other three. The "Drive-In" scene will be next, and I'm officially in a rush for time, now. The movie is supposed to be released at the end of January, and the dvd insert, the printing, the authoring and the replication must all converge together to meet the release.

Yesterday, I met with Angelo from Image Labs, who does my graphic artwork. I created a simple, crude mock-up of what I wanted the dvd cover to look like.

I wanted this dvd to have colors different than what I usually use. You can generally find lots of reds, blacks, blues, and whites in my covers, but this time, I thought we should go differently. I've always liked what they call "Santa Fe" colors: earthy, warm rusty-reds and burnt-yellows and oranges. And since the film's title begins with an H, I thought I'd put a big H in the background, then take one of the best pictures of JORDAN VAUGHN and put him in front of it. I gave the pics and the instructions to Angelo, who promised me a first draft in a week.

I contacted my dvd authorer and asked him if he could do the job for me the 2nd week of January, and he said that would be perfect, so my deadline for having the film completely edited is the end of next week. Should be no problem, but I also have to record an audio commentary and edit the MARIO CRUZ solo that I shot last year. I also have to find something for the hidden Easter Egg.

The press release for DANTE went out last week. Some of you may have caught it on theGayVN website or the VidioView site. It should also be appearing on GAY PORN BLOG and JASON CURIOUS. Check it out.
