The other night, I went to SKYLIGHT BOOKS near Silverlake to hear JACK SHAMAMA of GAYPORNBLOG.COM read a couple passages of a script from a book collection he's been published in, called USERLANDS: NEW FICTION WRITERS FROM THE BLOGGIN UNDERGROUND, edited by Dennis Cooper. There were about 30 people there, including Jack's gal pal and his boyfriend Eric. I sat on the left fringe, surrounded by the scents of sandalwood and patchouli oil. Jack was very nervous beforehand, but gave a great reading of his material...which was FILTHY.



It's odd that being in this business, you don't really think of fingering assholes, sucking cock and cumming on someone's face as shocking or depraved until you hear the acts mentioned in a non-porn environment. There was a blond woman with a ponytail sitting in front of me, shaking her head in disbelief as Jack read his script. The handsome blond man sitting next to her felt the same way (or at least he pretended to, with his hair moused as high as an elephant's eye, I get the feeling that he's more than acquainted with some of Jack's read-aloud activities. Don't make any wedding plans, honey!), and when Jack finished and sat down, Miss Ponytail leaned over to Mr. Mousse and said, "I can't believe they let him read that. It was disgusting!," at which point, I leaned forward and said, "I guess you had to be there."

I love that look.

Casting continues on UNSPEAKABLE for OH Man! Studios. So far, we have EDDIE STONE, CHRISTIAN OWEN, LOGAN ROBBINS, TY HUDSON, SEAN STEELE and DAN CROSS as the great-grandfather. The script is still being written and shooting is slated for the last week of April.
