Okay, things have been really crazy lately, and I'll try to catch you all up.

First of all, the cover for DANTE was finally approved, and here is the final version:



As you can see, the red background is very rich, LOGAN ROBBINS' body was repositioned slightly to expose a bit more groin and additional changes were made on the back cover. The movie is at the authorer right now, and hopefully, the dvd will be locked down by Monday. The cover is about to be sent to the printer's, but I have to find a new replicator, as the one I DID use is renewing their Phillips license. Without that, I cannot ship the movie out of the country. So after repeated requests for updates as to the new license and being ignored, we are searching for a new replicator. But the race is on: we have a July 31st street date to meet. And by the way, as with HOW TO SEDUCE A STRAIGHT MAN, you can PRE-ORDER the movie now at REDDEVILSTORE.COM. You will receive it as soon as we get it, even if it's before the street date! We had a lot of success with this on our last title, so be the first on your block to get DANTE by pre-ordering NOW!

Another wrinkle is that after DANTE, Red Devil will sever its distribution ties with Channel 1 Releasing. We've had a good run together, but it's time to move on to someone else.

Also, there are other projects coming up with other companies. First up is a film at Dirty Bird Pictures (a feature filmmaking arm of Active Duty), tentatively titled STEPHEN. This is a script I wrote years ago, and is finally being made. It's about a divorced father whose daughter comes home from college for a visit with her brand new fiance in tow. The father, who has repressed his gay urges most of his life, now finds them coming back with a vengeance, as he cannot stop thinking of his future son-in-law. A trip to the porn store to rent a video for relief provides just the opposite, as he discovers a movie with Stephen's picture on the cover! What does this mean for his daughter's marriage, and what does it mean for their upcoming fishing trip? So far, we have cast NICK MARINO as the father, TORY MASON as the son, with other cast members including LEVI (from Active Duty), ZACKARY PIERCE and JORDAN VAUGHN, among others. I am shooting one scene this weekend, and will finish the movie two weeks later.

Then, at the beginning of August, UNSPEAKABLE rolls before the cameras for OhMan! Studios. Some of you may remember that this is a movie I wanted to do for Red Devil, but Channel 1 said they'd refuse to distribute it if I made it, so thanks to BRUNO RICCELLI for allowing me to make it! A man who hunts down Nazi war criminals finds his latest quarry living in L.A., but when he meets the old man's grandson, he begins to fall in love and question his mission. We were originally supposed to shoot this in May, but had to postpone it for a few months. This is something that happens occasionally. Unfortunately, it also resulted in the loss of my main cast member, EDDIE STONE, who was originally slated to play the hunter. He is going on hiatus for a few months, and so is unable to appear in the film. Damn.

At the end of April is another projectt with another studio, but that has to remain secret for now. But it's a BIG secret (that has already been leaked).

Coming up next weekend is my annual birthday bash. Last year, everyone had a great time, and things got a little out of hand (look in the archives for details). This year should be just as much fun!

I am taking the Red Devil name and spinning it off into a new, excitiing venture. More about that in the next column!
