THE SECRET SEX LIVES OF COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS

TOM OF FINLAND made a career and gay erotic art history with his drawings, sketches and paintings of men in homosexual encounters. You can currently see great examples of homoerotic artwork in the monthly issues of FIRST HAND MAGAZINE. But they're supposed to be a turn-on. What about the other mainstream characters? Did you ever get a boner reading Superman? Have you ever stroked it while watching Spider-man bound and held captive?

I recently came across some examples of comic book artwork that, taken out of context, are inherently sexual (hilariously so), even though they certainly were not meant to be. These are actual, untouched panels from comic books!

Does that mean Green Lantern has a super-powered cockring?

Who'da thunk that Lois likes a little animatronic anal action?

Of course, Spider-man prefers it the old-fashioned way:

And let's take a peek at what's going on in the Batcave...

I guess they were out of Bat-lube.

When the Batman tv show aired in the late 60's, the communist Russian newspaper proclaimed that Batman and Robin were gay because they lived in a big mansion alone together. The producers denied it, but the character of Aunt Harriet was quickly added so there would be a female presence in the house. Of course, the producers probably never saw THIS:

Who would have thought that Robin liked it in the face?

And what happened when Betty walked in on Archie in the bathroom?

Come on, Betty, YOU know what's going on. Bet Archie will lock the door next time. But if not, at least he'll tell you about it:

Sounds like Superboy is gay-for-pay.

Thus we bring to a close the backroom antics of some of your favorite comic book characters. Until next time...
