UNSPEAKABLE: PRODUCTION DIARY--DAYS 2 & 3
Okay, remember so loooooong ago when we shot the first day of UNSPEAKABLE?

Well, now it was September, and we were ready to finish production. We shot at SEAN STEELE's house and arrived there at 9:00am. Producer BRUNO RICCELLI showed up and after a blizzard of paperwork and some confusion about one model's fee, it was time to start. We had one scene to do that day, a duo between MATT MAJORS and BRAXTON BOND, and it was to take place in the cellar of the house, which Sean and his roommate, porn star CUTLER WEST, were converting into a dungeon. The small space was crammed full of people, joining the 2 studs were myself, TONY BISCOTTI doing 2nd camera, ROCKET doing stills and BOOMASTER the p.a. SIX people in a small cramped basement space with hot lights! Nice.
But the scene turned out great. Braxton took Matt's cock like the champ he is.

Afterwards, I whisked Matt and Cole off to a stone stairway location for some dialogue. This was the scene where Matt and Cole talk about how they're falling in love with each other. When we got there, a small family was taking pictures at the bottom, so we had to climb halfway up in order for me to frame them out. When they left, we reshot the dialogue at the bottom of the steps, but I ended up liked the earlier shots I'd gotten better. We went back to the house, where Rocket did a layout on Braxton, and called it a day.
The next day was the last one of production. Again, we arrived at 9am, and Rocket did layouts on Matt and Cole. Then, we shot their sex scene.

I had alwsys wanted to direct Matt Majors bottoming, and now my dream had come true. It was a very hot scene, and on the dvd, is the longest, running at about 35 minutes, edited!
Bruno told us about the trouble he was having with this movie already. Apparently, the Nazi theme was causing some problems with distribution in Germany (go figure!). Bruno said that a Jewish anti-defamation organization was threatening to have him arrested and his entire library of titles confiscated if he brought UNSPEAKABLE to Germany. He was concerned that he would miss out on some sales for the film because of this. I suggested that he promote this aspect of the film to inspire greater sales in the U.S., even going so far as to create a mock dvd cover.

Then, the creative bug bit me and I came up with this cover:

Now, I REALLY liked this cover. I thought it would convey a sense of mystery and nasty sex. Even Anthony Duran thought it was hip and sixy. Bruno decided to go more traditional and ended up with this:

He removed the swastika from the flag and the armband and took it to the Venus Fair in Berlin, where he pre-sold 100 pieces. Who's to say he was wrong?
After I edited the film, Bruno liked it so much that he moved its release from Dec. 5th to Nov. 30th, so it could qualify for the GayVN awards. He has a lot of faith in it, and I thank him for letting me make this non-controversial controversial movie. I'm very pleased with it, myself. You can pre-order it at Burno's website: OH MAN!
